Ingredients
Date Paste
- 12 Dates, softened in hot water

¼ Cup of Coconut Milk

Pinch of Salt
Brownie
- 80g of Butter

150g of Dark Chocolate

130g of Plain Flour

2 Eggs
½tsp of Baking Powder

150g of Whitworths Caster Sugar

Pinch of Salt
Directions
Sticky Date Paste
Remove the stones from the dates, then blend the dates with the coconut milk and salt for about 10 minutes until you have a smooth and glossy paste.
For the Brownie
Heat the oven at 180°C. Line a loaf cake tin with baking parchment
- Blanch the sugar, baking powder,
salt and the eggs
- Melt the dark chocolate and
butter together
- Whisk in the melted chocolate,
then fold in the flour until the mixture is glossy
- Pour the mixture into the tin
- Top the brownie with a few spoonsful
of the date paste and swirl it around slightly
Bake for 180°C for 15 minutes
