Preheat the oven to 200°c
Lightly grease a muffin tin, making sure there's at least one empty space between each space to prevent them from sticking together.
Combine the butter and sugar in a bowl, mix until creamy. Next, add the egg and mix until well combined.
Adc the flour, matcha, baking powder, salt, water, and vanilla extract into the bowl, mix until evenly combined.
Crush half of the blueberries and fold them into the mixture, then add the remaining whole blueberries, making sure they are evenly distributed.
Divide the mixture evenly into the muffin cases and allow to rest for 45 minutes. Sprinkle sugar over the tops of the muffins until covered.
Bake at 200°c for 20 minutes or until the muffin tops are lightly browned.
