Easy air fryer mini doughnuts made with just 2 ingredients, drizzled in melted chocolate and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. A quick, delicious homemade treat!
These mini doughnuts are the perfect sweet treat to whip up in minutes. The dough is formed using only 2 ingredients - both of which you probably already have at home. These doughnuts are cooked to perfection in the air fryer, offering a healthier alternative to traditional frying. They are then sprinkled with cinnamon sugar made using Whitworths Sugar and drizzled in melted chocolate.
Combine the yogurt and self-rising flour in a large bowl.
Transfer the dough onto your work surface and knead it until
it forms a cohesive mixture, ensuring there are no dry flour pockets. If the
dough feels sticky, incorporate 1 teaspoon of oil.
Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and shape each into a long log. Cut small pieces from the logs and roll each into balls using your hands.
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C.
Coat the doughnuts with melted butter and carefully place
them in the air fryer, leaving space for expansion.
Air fry the doughnuts for 5 minutes, noting that some uneven
browning may occur, which is typical with air fryers.
Immediately after air frying, coat the doughnuts in melted
butter and roll them in cinnamon sugar, ensuring the sugar adheres well with
the help of the butter.
Enjoy the warm doughnuts plain or with melted chocolate for
dipping or drizzling.
