Ingredients

100g Whitworths Light Soft Brown
125g Butter, unsalted
400g Plain Flour
180g Evaporated Milk
½tbsp Turmeric
¼tsp Baking Powder
¼tsp Baking Soda
1tsp Vanilla Essence
Pinch of Salt

Directions

Pre- heat oven to fan 150°c
Sift 400 g flour and set aside.
In a mixing bowl combine sugar and room temperature butter.
Mix in all ingredients; baking powder, baking soda, salt, evaporated milk, turmeric, vanilla essence.
Add sifted soft flour and mix to form a smooth dough.
Dust working surface with flour and roll the dough flat (1 inch) using a rolling pin.
Cut into desired shape with cookie cutter.
Bake for 20 mins at 150°c.
Serve with sweet yogurt and enjoy!
