With only 4 ingredients, it’s fresh, zesty, and perfect for smothering all over brioche French toast. All you need to do is mix 250g unsalted softened butter with 100g Whitworths caster, and the zest and juice of 3-4 lemons

250g Softened Unsalted Butter
4 Lemons - juice and zest
100g Whitworths Caster Sugar
Whitworths Icing Sugar

Directions

Add the softened butter, Whitworths caster sugar and lemon juice and zest to a bowl
Beat with a spatula until softened and combined
Make the French toast: whisk together egg and milk, dip in your bread then fry in some butter until golden on all sides
Serve the toast with your butter on top, a garnish of lemon and berries, and a dusting of Whitworths icing sugar
