The Story Behind the Bake

These cookies are based on the iconic Aussie dessert/snack Fairy Bread! Essentially, Fairy Bread is white bread that has a layer of butter and is covered in hundreds and thousands (sprinkles).

Growing up, fairy bread was a birthday party must as it is a classic treat that is loved by both children and adults. A dessert that I love just as much as fairy bread is cookies, so I decided to take two of the sweet treats that I love most and combine them! These cookies are soft, chewy, and fun. I made them using brown butter which adds a subtle nuttiness to the cookies and of course, they are packed with hundreds and thousands! This dessert is not only nostalgic but also the best of both worlds!
